Big Dawg Bail Bonds is a family-owned operation based in Dilley, Texas. We've been serving South Texas since 2015 — picking up the phone at 3 AM, posting bonds at every county jail, treating people the way we'd want to be treated.
Mark Banning opened Big Dawg Bail Bonds with a simple idea: South Texas needed a bondsman who'd actually pick up the phone. Not a chain that drove in from San Antonio or Eagle Pass. Not a discount operator 2 hours away. A real local operation with real local agents near every jail who treated people with respect.
Eleven years later, that's still the whole game.
We're based in Dilley. Local agents work Frio, LaSalle, and Medina counties — Pearsall, Cotulla, Hondo, Devine, every small town in between.
It's a family business. We act like one.
We're not a side hustle. We're a fully-licensed, professionally-credentialed bail bond operation, and we belong to the industry's two main professional associations. We've served as committee members alongside Duane and Beth Chapman, and as educational advisors to PBT.
The state-level professional association for licensed Texas bail bondsmen. Members agree to uphold ethical standards, ongoing training, and best practices.
The national association for bail agents in the U.S. Federal-level industry standards, continuing education, and accountability.
If you don't understand a term, we explain it. If a clause sounds weird, we walk you through it. We'd rather take 15 extra minutes at the jail than have you sign something you don't understand.
You get the price on the call. No bait-and-switch. No "oh wait, there's a fee for that." Whatever we quote you is what you pay.
Day, night, holidays, the middle of the night. People don't get arrested at convenient times — and we know that. So we answer.
You've heard the stories — but we aren't a company looking to revoke your bond or find some way to take your money and run. We're all adults here, and there's no reason to act that way. We help you, you go to court, everything goes smoothly. Good honest respect of one another.
"We help you, you go to court, everything goes smoothly."
